Densoband™ 45mm x 8mm x 12m (Box of 3)

Densoband™ 45mm x 8mm x 12m (Box of 3) is a hot-applied, preformed sealing strip wound in reel form on wider-width disposable interleaving.

It uses a polymer-modified bitumen strip to seal vertical joints in road and pavement construction and maintenance, helping prevent the ingress of water. For use on asphalt-to-asphalt, asphalt-to-concrete and asphalt-to-steel joints, it helps prevent further deterioration by sealing out water, chemical pollutants, weed seeds and other contaminants. In addition, Densoband^™ provides a uniform flexible seal across the joint face, making it suitable for base and wearing course joints where movement from traffic load and thermal changes may occur.

Densoband uses a polymer-modified bitumen compound in strip form containing filler, a flow-control additive and a root deterrent.

Uses

Densoband helps seal joints between asphalt-to-asphalt, concrete and road castings in road construction and bridge expansion joints. In addition, it suits airport runway joints and light railway or tram construction where a flexible seal is required between the track and the surrounding asphalt.

Densoband forms a flexible watertight seal that accommodates slight movement from cyclic loads and thermal changes, therefore helping prevent cracking and subsequent joint erosion from weathering.

Service Temperature: -20°C to +80°C

Densoband has the following characteristics:

• has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and salts, and
• provides a watertight seal.

Availability

Densoband comes in the following options:

• 6.5 m length, 45 mm – 55 mm width and 15 mm thickness, or
• 12 m length, 45 mm – 55 mm width and 8 mm thickness.
