Adomast Adostrike 25 Litre is a high oil content, solvent-based mould release oil.
Adomast Adostrike 25 Litre is a high concentration mould oil for general site and precast yard use that achieves the highest quality concrete finish in most situations. Release is achieved by the mould oil forming a physical barrier between the formwork surface and the concrete. Surfactants help to eliminate blowholes and provide a clean uniform and non-stained surface.
This variant is supplied as a 25 litre unit.
Advantages:
- Facilitates easy formwork release.
- Provides uniform stain-free concrete surfaces high quality.
- Minimises incidence of surface air voids.
- Reduces form cleaning to a minimum.
- Highly resistant to removal by rain showers or light foot traffic.
- High coverage rate provides economic usage.
- Suitable for use on all types of formwork in all climatic conditions.
- Easy application by spray, brush or swab.
- Suitable for use on sealed or unsealed timber formwork
- Forms may be stripped early as other factors permit
- Ideal for achieving release from multi-planed features e.g. trapezoidal ribs, cone shaped column heads etc.
- Suitable for use with white or standard OPC concrete finishes.
- Fully compatible with the subsequent application of silicone or similar surface treatments when used as recommended.
- Low odour and Low Hazard
Coverage:
A thin coating spray applied to give a coverage area of between 30 to 40m2 per litre (depending upon surface porosity) is recommended. Excessive application of Adostrike may detrimental to concrete surface finish; care should therefore be taken to ensure that Adostrike is applied as recommended to achieve optimum performance and maximum economy.
Application:
Apply by spray, brush or swab prior to each concrete pour, and as near to time of placement of concrete as practical conditions permit. Timber and other porous forms which have not been treated with Adoseal or other suitable sealer should initially be treated with a double coat of Adostrike – the first applied heavily and allowed to stand for maximum absorption before the second is applied in normal manner. On vertical forms any excess material accumulating at the bottom of the form should be removed.
