Adomast Adostrip 5 Litre general purpose mould release oil.
Adomast Adostrip 5 Litre is a formwork and mould release agent designed far general site use to achieve easy concrete release, forming a physical barrier between the formwork surface and the concrete.
Adostrip offers quick and easy release of the concrete from the formwork and minimises the formation of blowholes and provides a clean, uniform, non-stained surface.
This variant is supplied as a 5 litre unit.
Advantages:
- Double action provides physical barrier and chemical release properties.
- Facilitates maximum re-usage of all types of formwork.
- Provides uniform stain-free concrete surfaces.
- Minimises incidence of surface air voids.
- Will not impair the bond of any subsequent treatments to concrete.
- Concrete deposits on forms virtually eliminated
- Dries rapidly on forms to provide cleaner and safer working surfaces.
- Will not be removed by rain showers or light foot traffic.
- Inhibits rust formation on steel forms.
- Light spray mist coat application provides extremely economic usage.
- Suitable far use on all types of formwork in all climatic conditions.
- Minimises discolouration of concrete surface
Coverage:
A thin coating spray applied to give a coverage area of between 30 to 40m2 per litre (depending upon surface porosity) is recommended. Excessive application of Adostrip may be detrimental to the concrete surface finish; care should therefore be taken to ensure that Adostrip is applied as recommended to achieve optimum performance and maximum economy.
Application:
Apply by spray, brush or swab prior to each concrete pour, and as near to time of placement of concrete as practical conditions permit. Timber and other porous farms which have not been treated with Adoseal or other suitable sealers should initially be treated with a double coat of Adostrip; the first applied heavily and allowed to stand far maximum absorption before the second is applied in normal manner.
Long-time application and standing on vertical formwork may result in excess material sagging and collecting at the base of the formwork; this should be wiped away with a clean rag, as this can lead to de-moulding and appearance issues. Lightly re-apply to the upper section of the farmwork if the coverage looks too thin
