Denso™ Profiling Mastic 14kg (4 x 3.5kg)

Denso™ Profiling Mastic 14kg (4 x 3.5kg) is a cold-applied, self-supporting mastic. This products consists of a lightweight, non-setting self-supporting mastic for smoothing contours and filling voids on joints, couplings, valves before wrapping with Denso™ petrolatum tapes. Weight for weight it will fill three times the volume filled by other brand mastics and more than twice the volume filled by Densyl™ Mastic. Mastics are sold by weight but used by volume, this means that Denso Profiling Mastic can provide large cost savings. Denso Profiling Mastic is a component of Denso’s recommended systems for P1 and P2 specifications covering the protection of ferrous pipes, joints and fittings within the water industry.

Denso Profiling Mastic is a petrolatum compound containing cellular polymer beads and flow control additives.

Uses

Denso Profiling Mastic is designed for moulding around irregularly shaped fittings to provide a suitable profile for applying anti-corrosion tapes. Denso Profiling Mastic is used with primer, prior to overwrapping with Denso, Densopol, or Densoclad tapes for long term corrosion protection of buried pipe fittings. 

Service temperature: up to +70°C

Application

See Instructions for Use for additional detail. Press Denso Profiling Mastic into cavities, angles and around bolt heads to form a profile suitable for wrapping with tape without forming bridges or voids.
