High quality Cable Entry & Sealing Systems products

Cable entry and sealing systems are a category of construction waterproofing products designed to provide effective sealing and protection for cables, pipes, conduits, and other penetrations through building structures. These systems help prevent water ingress, moisture intrusion, and air leakage around cable and pipe penetrations, ensuring the integrity and durability of the building envelope.

When selecting cable entry and sealing systems, factors such as the type and size of penetrations, substrate materials, environmental conditions, fire rating requirements, and compliance with building codes and standards should be considered. It's essential to choose high-quality products and follow manufacturer recommendations for proper installation and compatibility with specific cable and pipe materials.

Cable Entry and Sealing System Applications

Cable entry and sealing systems are used in various construction applications, including: Electrical installations; Plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems; Telecommunications and data networking; Fire protection systems; and Structural penetrations such as expansion joints and service ducts.

Types of Cable Entry and Sealing Systems

Sealing inserts are flexible or rigid components inserted around cables or pipes to seal the space between the penetration and the surrounding structure. They are typically made from rubber, silicone, EPDM, or other elastomeric materials.

Sealing compounds or mastics are viscous or paste-like materials applied around cables or pipes to fill gaps, voids, and irregularities in penetrations. They provide a flexible and durable seal that adheres to various substrates and withstands environmental exposure.

Sealing collars or sleeves are rigid or flexible products installed around cables or pipes to provide additional mechanical support and sealing. They are typically made from plastic, metal, or composite materials and may include gaskets or sealing elements.

Mechanical press seals are the safest method of sealing pipes and cables within service entry penetrations, and with a little planning, are guaranteed to provide a long lasting, waterproof solution. Press Seals are available in steel or polymer and in a variety of configurations, but in most cases the Standard Press Seals are suitable. Split Seals are also possible for installations when the pipes or cables are already passing through the sleeve.
