Frequently Asked Questions About Cleaners and Maintenance Products

How does graffiti remover work?

Graffiti removers typically work by breaking down the chemical bonds in the paint or ink used for graffiti. They contain solvents or surfactants that penetrate the graffiti material, making it easier to remove from the surface.

Is graffiti remover safe to use on all surfaces?

Graffiti removers are formulated to be safe for use on a variety of surfaces such as brick, concrete, metal, and certain types of paint. However, it’s essential to check the product label or manufacturer’s instructions to ensure compatibility with the specific surface you intend to clean.

Can graffiti remover remove all types of graffiti?

While graffiti removers are designed to effectively remove various types of graffiti, including spray paint, markers, and ink, some stubborn or aged graffiti may require multiple applications or specialised techniques for complete removal. Test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility and effectiveness.

What is polystyrene solvent emulsifier, and how does it work?

Polystyrene solvent emulsifiers are formulated specifically to break down and dissolve polystyrene foam. They work by softening the molecular structure of the polystyrene, making it easier to remove or reshape.

Can polystyrene solvent emulsifiers be used on other materials?

Polystyrene solvent emulsifiers are designed for use specifically on polystyrene foam. While they may work on other styrofoam-like materials, they may not be as effective or safe for use on other surfaces.

How long does it take for a polystyrene solvent emulsifier to work?

The time it takes for a polystyrene solvent emulsifier to work can vary depending on factors such as the thickness of the polystyrene foam and the product formulation. In many cases, visible softening or dissolution of the foam can be observed within minutes.

What is a resin cleaner for polyurethane injection resins, and how does it work?

A resin cleaner for polyurethane injection resins is a specialised chemical compound designed to remove residues and uncured material from equipment used in polyurethane injection processes. It works by dissolving and breaking down the polyurethane resin, making it easier to clean and maintain equipment.
