Helifix SDS Plus drill bits are suitable for fast drilling of plug, anchor or clearance holes in dense materials such as reinforced concrete, some limestone and sandstone and for blind holes in strong material. Optimised mounting shank provides perfect grip and optimum power transmission, with a hardened steel body for extra strength and reduced breakage.
When drilling to fit Helifix remedial ties, the SDS hammer drilling system is only used for drilling pilot holes into dense materials such as reinforced concrete, some limestone and sandstone and for blind holes in strong material. Sometimes the method may be used to drill mortar. The drilling of all holes should be tried first with the 3-jaw-chuck type drilling machine and the SDS method should be seen as a “last resort”. It should not be used into cavity masonry as significant breakout is likely to occur in the cavity. A 3-jaw-chuck adaptor fitted to an SDS machine must never be used in place of an rotary percussion drill.

Delivery Timescales
We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.
Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.
Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).
Delivery Communications
We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.
If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.
