VANDEX PLUG is a cementitious, ready-mixed, rapid setting compound to stop water and moisture ingress.

Areas of Application:
VANDEX PLUG can be used internally or externally as a waterproof plugging mortar or where rapid setting and early strength gain is required:
- Plugging water leaks and seepage
- Sealing leaking cracks
- Sealing wet surfaces
- Plugging leaks in earthenware pipes
- Caulking tunnel segment joints
- Fixings in water structures where immediate use is required
- Installation of steel elements in concrete or masonry (e.g. rail stanchions)
- Erosion resistant mortar for elements affected by rain
- Erosion resistant shoring of canal sealing
- Underwater work (access permitting)

Properties:
VANDEX PLUG has the following physical properties:

- Sets in approx. 30 seconds after mixing

- Can be mixed with water or used dry

Application:
To avoid wastage, only small quantities of VANDEX PLUG should be mixed.
- After mixing, apply the VANDEX PLUG to the appropriate area immediately. Work the mixture well into the area and then hold firmly in place for about 30 seconds. (Wear rubber gloves).
- Maintain pressure without disturbing the material, until it has set.
- Remove excess material.
- After lightly pre-wetting apply a normal VANDEX waterproofing coating.
In certain circumstances VANDEX PLUG may be applied as a dry powder. Place and hold the powder directly over the leak for 30–40 seconds.
Consumption:
Depending on the size of the water leak: approx. 0.3 kg/water leak.
Packaging:
15 kg plastic, resealable buckets
Storage:
When stored in a dry place in unopened, undamaged original packaging, shelf life is 12 months.

All data are averages of several tests under laboratory conditions. In practice, climatic variations such as temperature, humidity, and porosity of substrate may affect these values.

1. Delivery Timescales
We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.
Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.
Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details)
2. Delivery Fee Structure:
All orders, excluding those containing products covered in section 3 below, will be subject to the below delivery fee structure:
- Total order weight is between 0kg and 10kg = £7.99 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is between 10kg and 20kg = £12.99 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is between 20kg and 75kg = £20 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is 75kg and above = £60 large order delivery fee
- Total order value exceeds £500 (regardless of weight) = Free delivery
3. Exclusions
The delivery fees detailed above apply to all orders, excluding:
- Orders containing insulation will be charged at £65 per pallet (10 units per pallet). Please get in touch with us directly for pricing and ordering.
- Orders containing protection boards: A large order delivery fee of £60 will be applied.
- Orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above: The delivery fee will be calculated as a price per unit*.

*Please note that, for orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above:
- Once the total order weight exceeds 75kg then the £60 large order fee will automatically be applied
- Once the total order value exceeds £500 then the free delivery policy will automatically be applied
4. Geographical Areas
The above delivery fees apply to all postcodes in mainland England, Wales and Scotland.
For deliveries to Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Isles, and any international orders please get in touch with the BaseTec team directly by email or phone for a custom delivery price. Standard delivery timescales do not apply to these areas and will be advised on request.
Additional charges, including customs fees, duties, or taxes may apply for international orders.
