The primer may suit steel pipelines, concrete surfaces, culverts and fittings where compatible bitumen tape systems are required. However, always check the product data sheet and Instructions for Use before application.

Denso Primer D™ – 5 litre Technical Information

Composition

Denso Primer D uses a bitumen-based primer solution.

Uses

Denso Primer D is a low-viscosity, fast-drying primer that helps maintain surface cleanliness of the pipe before tape application. In addition, it promotes strong bond development between the substrate and Denso bitumen tapes.

Service Temperature: up to +75°C

Characteristics

Denso Primer D has the following characteristics:

improves cathodic disbondment resistance,
provides excellent adhesion of Denso bitumen tapes to the substrate, and
dries rapidly even in cool conditions.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from rust, scale, grease, non-adherent coatings and other contamination. Where possible, grit blast or well wire brush the area.

Application

Before use, stir the primer thoroughly. Then, use a brush or roller to apply the primer. Also, ensure the product container remains sealed air-tight between uses.

Availability

Denso Primer D comes in 5 L, 25 L and 200 L drums.

Storage conditions

Store all components upright in the original packaging in a cool, dry area.

Also, keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Keep the container sealed air-tight.

Waste material

Please apply the waste hierarchy to avoid or minimise waste wherever possible. Also, do not discard waste material, including packaging, in the surrounding environment. Follow all relevant legislation for disposal.

Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).

Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.

If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.
