Densoclad™ 70 – 100mm x 12m (Box of 8) is a heavy-duty anti-corrosion tape for long-term corrosion protection, especially where higher mechanical protection may support demanding site conditions.

The extremely tough PVC backing, combined with a polymer bitumen adhesive layer, helps provide protection and strong resistance to damage from impact, poor backfill or aggressive ground conditions. It suits machine or hand application, while the removable interleaving protects the compound and installers dispose of it during application.

Densoclad™ 70 – 100mm Technical Information

Composition

Densoclad 70 uses a thick polymer-modified bitumen compound laminated to a tough PVC backing. An interleaving protects the compound layer, sits wider than the tape and installers remove it during application.

Uses

Densoclad 70 helps provide long-term protection for medium and large-diameter pipelines, welded joints, bends and fittings. Also, it suits heavy soils where the risk of soil stress or damage is high.

Service temperature: -20°C to +60°C

Densoclad 70 has the following characteristics:

• resistant to cathodic disbondment,
• suitable for use in heavy soils, and also
• suitable for where damage risk is high.

Recommended primer: Denso Primer D
Installers apply Densoclad 70 over Denso Primer D by wrapping spirally around the pipe with 55% overlap.
Application temperature: +5°C to +45°C

Availability

Densoclad 70 comes in blue or black backing as 12 metre rolls with 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm or 150 mm width. In addition, other lengths and widths may be available on request.

Store in a cool and dry place in the original packaging.
