Flat Loose Laid High Grade Flooring Membrane. Newton DampSafe 601 Slimline is a 1mm thick, loose-laid and high grade flooring membrane, primarily used for isolating moisture-sensitive flooring from dampness in the floor slab, but can also be used as the floor membrane as part of the Newton CDM System, when the survey has ascertained that there is no risk of water entering through the body of the slab. 

DampSafe 601 allows for the installation of sensitive flooring to be laid above ‘green’, still curing concrete as soon as the concrete is walkable, usually two days, significantly reducing project times. 

With a loading capability of over 1000kN/m², DampSafe 601 is able to resist very high compressive loading and is suitable for use as a high load DPC within structural block walls, especially when used to connect the wall and floor membranes within the Newton CDM System. 

DampSafe 601 is guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years and has a life expectancy of at least 50 years (DIN 9001:2000). DampSafe 601 is inert and is highly resistant to water, alkalies, hydro-carbons, saline solutions and organic acids, and it is not affected by minerals. It is also resistant to bacteria, fungi and other small organisms.

DampSafe 601 can be finished over with screed, 18mm or 22mm T&G chipboard or partical board. Laminate and timber flooring should be installed over a layer of 18mm or 22mm T&G chipboard.

Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).

Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.
