Toughsheet Jointing Tape, 72mm x 33m is a general purpose black polyethylene tape, perfect for general sealing and jointing tasks. With robust adhesion and durability, it delivers superior performance and ease of application.

Main Features:

  • Flexible (even at sub-zero temperatures, extensible, conformable and tough).
  • Resistant to moisture, many chemicals such as dilute acids and alkalis and to salt solutions.

Application:

Requires only gentle pressure to adhere to almost any clean, dry surface ie. free from dust, oil, grease, or moisture. Undue stretching of the polyethylene tape during application should be avoided, otherwise some degree of “creep-back” will occur.

It is best to avoid stretching the last inch of tape or to let it recover for 5 to 10 seconds before sticking it down.

The tape is intended for use at normal temperatures, although lower temperatures down to -50ºC will not adversely affect it once it has been satisfactorily applied.

Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).

Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.

If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.
