Tremco ME060 A2-Membrane Pro Vapour Control Layer – 1.2 x 50m

Tremco ME060 A2-Membrane Pro Vapour Control Layer is a laminated, aluminium foil faced glass fibre reinforced, air and vapour control membrane with a reaction to fire classification of A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1.

This product is supplied as a 1.2 x 50m roll.

It is used on the interior (warm) side of lightweight steel and timber frame constructions to provide an air and vapour tight layer
to control the passage of air and moisture. It is designed to meet the fire classification requirements for membranes as defined in the Building Regulations for England and Wales for use on ‘relevant building‘ types.

Highly suited to construction projects designated as “relevant buildings” as defined in Approved Document B of the Building Regulations for England and Wales.

Application

The instructions below are not intended to be comprehensive and should be read in conjunction with Tremco CPG UK method
statements and FR AVCL installation guide available from our website.

ME060 should be installed in accordance with ‘BS 5250: 2021 Management of moisture in buildings. Code of practice’. ME060
should be situated on the warm side of the insulation layer. The following assumes the installation of ME060 to an SFS framed
wall installed between concrete floor slabs and columns.

Apply ME060 from the roll, ideally vertically and with the shiny/foil side facing the interior, allowing a 50 mm overlap at the
top and bottom onto the soffit and floor slab. All horizontal and vertical overlaps should be a minimum 100 mm and sealed
using ME355 FR Sealing Tape (Alu).

For sealing window and door interfaces, the ME060 should be turned and bonded into the reveal. The complete perimeter
interface with the window (or door) should then be sealed using a compatible illbruck tape or membrane ensuring a minimum
20 mm bond to window frame and 50 mm overlap back onto the ME060.
