Tremco SX600NA High-Performance Rapid-Set Smoothing Compound is a protein free, moisture tolerant smoothing underlayment that can be used over old adhesive residue in interior applications. Additionally, there is no need to prime if being applied to a TREMCO DPM. The product has a walk on time of 2 hours and can receive floor coverings after 4 hours.

Tremco SX600NA High-Performance Rapid-Set Smoothing Compound is a protein free, moisture tolerant smoothing underlayment that can be used over old adhesive residue in interior applications. This product is supplied as a 25kg kit.

Application:
Tremco SX600NA should be applied directly after mixing by pouring a ribbon of material along the wet edge and then trowelled to form a smooth, even finish. The effective use of spike rolling can reduce visible trowel marks.

Protection on Completion:
Ensure the smoothing compound is not subject to strong sunlight and excessive draughts during the first 24 hours of curing as this may lead to cracking and crazing.

Cure time:
Foot traffic: Two hours.
Application of DPM and floor covering: Four hours.

An average thickness of 3 mm will provide an approximate
coverage rate of 5 m² per mix.

Thicknesses of 1–12 mm can be applied dependent on surface profile, however for thicknesses above 8 mm it is recommended that the product is bulked out with hard aggregate. This will depend on the condition of the substrate and method of preparation (please refer to Tremco CPG UK Limited Technical Department).

Coverage Thicknesses of 1 mm to 12 mm can be applied dependent on surface profile, however for thicknesses above 8mm it is recommended that the product is bulked out with hard aggregate (please refer to Tremco CPG UK Limited Technical Department). Cure Time (at 20°C) Approximately 2 hours for foot traffic and from 4 hours for the application of a damp proof membrane, floor coverings and loading. SX600NA should not be applied in temperatures below 5°C.
Storage Store in dry, shaded conditions between +10°C and +35°C
Shelf Life 12 months when stored as recommended in original unopened packaging. High temperatures and humidity will lead to a reduced shelf life.

Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).

Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.

If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.
