uPVC 50mm Elbow Pipe 90°

Newton Waterproofing Systems offer a range of PVC pipe diameters and fittings recommended for use with all of our pump and sump systems.

The uPVC 50mm Elbow Pipe 90° is pressure rated, providing a means of discharging ground water, effluent water and sewage from our pumping systems. It is a professional choice due to its long-term strength characteristics, impact resistance and cost effectiveness.

The pipe we supply has been approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and conforms to European Standard EN ISO 1452-2 – Plastics piping systems for water supply and for buried and aboveground drainage and sewerage under pressure – Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) – Part 2: Pipes (ISO 1452-2:2009).

Connection Methods

Solvent Weld Fittings

The pipe and socket fittings are joined using PVC solvent weld glue, creating a homogeneous seal by fully bonding the two components to form a watertight union.

Threaded Fittings

Male and female threaded fittings are screwed together and sealed using PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape to stop water tracking through the joint.

Metric and Imperial Pipe Measurements

Metric and imperial pipe diameters are measured differently. Using the correct measurement is crucial when specifying or ordering pipework.

Metric Pipe

Metric pipe is measured by its outside diameter.

Imperial Pipe

Imperial pipe is measured by its inside diameter, as illustrated in the images below.
