Densofil™ 2kg (Box of 6) is a cold-applied, self-supporting mastic. Densofil™ is designed to insulate fittings preventing the formation of condensation which protects against corrosion. This lightweight material is perfect for moulding around awkward items such as valves, fittings, flanges and more.

It can also be used to seal the space between insulated pipes and their ducts for service entries. Denso™ Tape can be used to protect it from damage and moisture.

Densofil should not be used with absorbent insulating material.

Composition

Densofil is a petrolatum compound containing cellular polymer beads and flow control additives.

Uses

Densofil is designed for moulding around irregularly shaped fittings to provide a suitable profile for applying anti-corrosion tapes. Densofil is used with primer, prior to overwrapping with Denso, Densopol, or Densoclad tapes for long term corrosion protection of buried pipe fittings.

Service temperature: up to +75°C

resistant to slumping, and
suitable for deeply filled joints and valves.

See Instructions for Use for additional detail. Press Densofil into cavities, angles and around bolt heads to form a profile suitable for wrapping with tape without forming bridges or voids.

Availability

Densofil is available in 6 x 2 kg rectangular slabs per carton.

Storage conditions

Store in a cool and dry place in original packaging.

Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details).

Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by BaseTec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. BaseTec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.

If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.
